Thirty years ago, a team of All-Stars from Northwood Little League in Irvine became the first Orange County team to ever advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. Northwood had to win 18 all-star games in a row to become the U.S. Little League Champion, which matched Northwood versus the Hualien Little League All-Stars from Taiwan in the final game.  Although Northwood lost in that last game, we were and still are incredibly proud of our local players.
